ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany football team will have two All-Americans in its backfield this season.

Running back Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks and fullback Anthony Manzo-Lewis both have been named to STATS FCS All-America Teams, which were announced Tuesday.

Ibitokun-Hanks, a junior, was named to the first-team and Manzo-Lewis, a senior, was named to the second-team.

Both also had been chosen for the CAA Preseason All-Conference Team this past week, and Ibitokun-Hanks was named an Athlon Sports Preseason FCS All-American earlier this summer.

A third-team STATS FCS All-American last season, Ibitokun-Hanks led the CAA with 1,401 rushing yards. He also scored 16 touchdowns, which was second-most in the league, and recorded at least 100 yards in six games.

Manzo-Lewis was an All-CAA first-team player as a junior, when he caught 16 passes for 237 yards, including a touchdown reception in a season-opening victory at Buffalo.

The Great Danes open their season Sept. 2 at Old Dominion.
