Short Story: The University at Albany track & field program had various athletes etch their name in the record books after competing at the Fastrack National Invitational at Ocean Breeze Complex in Staten Island, N.Y.

Cara Sherman placed sixth in the women’s invitational 1 mile run in 4:57.17, which is 10th all-time.
Charlie Ragone placed eighth in the men’s 1 mile run invitational in 4:17.75.
Harmodio Cruz III placed fourth in the men’s invitational 400 meter dash in 48.71; Matthew LeLiever placed seventh in 49.64.
Kaylah Quarshie placed eighth in the women’s invitational 800 meter invite in 2:14.64, which stands 11th all-time.
Joe Somerville placed third in the men’s 800 meter invitational in 1:51.78, to rank 12th all-time; Matthew JeanPierre placed fifth in 1:53.30, for 15th all-time.
Jahari Coleman placed fifth in the women’s invitational 200 meter dash in 25.03.
Hannah Reinhardt won the women’s invitational 3000 meter run in 9:39.36.
Noreen Guilfoyle placed second in the women’s 3000 meter run in 10:23.71.
Solange Wright won the women’s 800 meter run in 2:19.01; Alicia Grady placed seventh in 2:20.93.
Kayla Meade placed sixth in the women’s 200 meter dash in 25.76.
Jake Conveney placed sixth in the men’s long jump in 6.57 meters.
Robert Blue won the men’s triple jump in 15.48 meters which seta a new freshman record, breaking Devon Willis’ mark of 15.44m set at the 2015 IC4A Championships. He now sits fourth all-time.
Adelaide Cooke won the women’s shot put in 12.38 meters.
Matthew Semon won the men’s shot put in 13.71 meters.
Walter Briggs placed third in the men’s 60 meter hurdles in 8.17. His time is fourth all-time at UAlbany.
Sophia Myers placed second in the women’s 60 meter hurdles in 8.50, which is fifth all-time in the program.
