∫Following the early opening of the 2018-19 indoor track & field season, the University at Albany swept the inaugural America East Field Performer of the Week awards, with Lynda Brundige winning for the women and David Carlson winning for the men.
Brundige, a jumper from Buffalo, N.Y., won the triple jump at Boston University’s Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Her mark of 39-08.75 is just one inch off her all-time personal best, and currently ranks fourth in the country.
Carlson, a thrower from Kingston, N.Y., won the weight throw at Boston University, recording a personal best mark of 64-05.25. He improved on his previous best by a foot and a half, and currently ranks fifth nationally.
The Great Danes will not compete again until they return from the semester break in January.
