Two In Action On East Prelims Day Two

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Yesterday, the University at Albany track & field program saw one of its student-athletes in freshman Adrian Mitchell qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championships in the men's javelin.  Today, two more of the eight Great Danes who made the trip competed.

The first to compete was sophomore Anika Hibbard.  In the women's high jump, Hibbard placed in a tie for 30th, clearing a height of 5-06.50.

Next, junior Stephanie Osuji competed in the quarterfinals of the women's 100m.  She qualified from the first round matching her all-time best 11.50, with a slight tailwind, to place 18th.  In today's quarterfinal round, Osuji placed 20th, crossing the finish line in 11.72.

Tomorrow, the final day of East Prelims, will feature Jonathan Eustache in the men's discus, and Jordan Crump-King and Devon Willis in the men's triple jump.
