Aliyah Wade played the hero as her single in the 11th inning lifted the Great Danes to an extra-inning victory against UMBC on Sunday afternoon.
Wade finished the day 2-for-3, as five Great Danes recorded hits on the afternoon, including Mariah Miramontez who’s poke helped set up the game-winning run in the 11th.

UMBC landed a runner on first to begin the 10th, following a defensive miscue by the Great Danes, but was eventually stranded.
It was over in the 11th, when Alexis Phillips led off with a walk, advanced to second on a single by Miramontez and scored on a walk-off RBI single by Wade.
