Softball to Face Lehigh in Doubleheader

ALBANY, N.Y.—The Great Danes are set to face the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks this Saturday in Bethlehem, PA at Leadership Park.

GREAT DANES STEPPING OUTSIDE OF CONFERENCE
After playing eight straight conference games, the Great Danes will face a member of the Patriot League. UAlbany is 18-14 overall and 3-7 in the America East. Last time out, the Great Danes faced UMBC in a three-game series where they split the doubleheader on Friday and won the single game on Saturday 7-3.

SNOW NCAA STAT LEADER
Elizabeth Snow leads the nation with .5 doubles per game. She is currently ranked third in the nation in slugging percentage (1.085), fourth in doubles (16), and tenth in toughest to strike out (AB/K = 44). Snow leads UAlbany in five offensive categories and is the Danes biggest threat.

SCOUTING LEHIGH
Lehigh is 24-16 overall and 11-1 in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks are currently on a five game win streak and secured a spot in the Patriot League after their three-game sweep over Holy Cross. 
Player to watch: Sophomore Ashley Quidolit Rabago had a big day at Princeton, highlighted by a 3-for-4 effort in game two to take over the team lead in batting average (.348) and hits (40). Rabago is hitting .397 over her last 18 games.

MOUNTAIN HAWK AND GREAT DANE HISTORY
First meeting in 2005, Lehigh and UAlbany have met seven times total. The Mountain Hawks lead the series 5-2. In 2016, Lehigh took both games of the doubleheader 5-4 and 9-0.
