However, in Game 2 it was last year’s senior, Maggie Cocks who paved the way going 4-4 with three runs. Devin Durando totaled 11 strikeouts.

The #AEFoodFrenzy is a conference-wide community service initiative designed to promote cohesion between America East’s member institutions while also providing significant donations to several charities in campus communities. The conference’s Student Athlete-Advisory Committee (SAAC) has put together this initiative taking place April 7-15 at one athletic contest on each of the conference’s nine campuses.

At Saturday’s game, UAlbany will donate one box of their collected goods to UMBC for them to donate to the charity of their choice, the Maryland Food Bank.

Spectators and fans can donate online via You Give Goods through May 26 to support the initiative. Since the project developed in the fall of 2015, 15,000 food items have been donated to local food pantries.
