UAlbany Women's Soccer to Host Vermont on Thursday for AE Quarterfinal

ALBANY, N.Y. – The UAlbany women’s soccer team will start their title defense at home, hosting Vermont for the America East Quarterfinal round at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 26th at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium.

UAlbany earned the 3-seed in the America East Tournament with 13 points at 4-3-1 in the conference, tying with Hartford for third place in the league this year, while Vermont picked up the 6-seed with a 3-4-1 conference tally for 10 points.

In the regular season, UAlbany defeated Vermont 1-0 in Burlington on October 12th off a Gina Bracamonte goal.

The winner of Thursday’s contest will take on 2-seed Binghamton in Vestal on Sunday, October 29th at 1 p.m.

This is the fourth consecutive season that UAlbany will host at least one America East Tournament game.  Last year, UAlbany hosted the semifinals and the final, winning 2-1 vs. Hartford in the title game.
