BOSTON – For the second consecutive week, University at Albany senior Jessica Féquière has been named America East Player of the Week. Also for the second consecutive week, Féquière shares the award with Binghamton’s Imani Watkins.
In the Great Danes’ lone game last week, Féquière led UAlbany to a 76-61 victory over Dartmouth, scoring 22 points and grabbing eight rebounds while recording four assists. It was Féquière’s fourth-straight game with 20 or more points, and the victory capped off a perfect 7-0 December for UAlbany.
Féquière has now won four America East Player of the Week awards in her career, which ranks in a tie for fifth all-time in program history with Megan Craig (2011-14). She trails the five awards won by Ebone Henry (2009-13) and Danielle Hutcheson (2001-05), the seven by former teammate Imani Tate (2013-17), and the 20 by former teammate Shereesha Richards (2012-16).
UAlbany begins America East play on Wednesday with a visit to Hartford.
