UAlbany Men's Basketball Back in Mid-Major Top-5, Places at #4

ALBANY, N.Y. – The UAlbany men’s basketball team rose two spots to #4 in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major National Rankings on Monday, its second top-5 ranking of the season.

UAlbany came up two spots from #6 last week.  The Great Danes have been in the top-6 each of the last three weeks.

The Great Danes won two contests last week over Bryant and Siena and are currently riding a four-game winning streak.

UAlbany, picking up 662 points in the poll, stands as the highest-ranked mid-major in the state of New York and the highest from the America East Conference.  Vermont, the only other America East representative, comes in at #13, while no other New York team is currently in the top-25.

Gonzaga stays at #1 with all 31 first-place votes and 775 points.  Saint Mary’s is second with 738 points followed by Loyola Chicago at #3 with 681 points.

UAlbany will take on Memphis at the FedexForum in Tennessee tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT) on ESPNU.
