UAlbany Men's Basketball Releases 2017-18 Non-Conference Schedule
ALBANY, N.Y. – The UAlbany men’s basketball has announced its 2017-18 non-schedule, a challenging slate that includes nine opponents with winning records last season.
UAlbany is set to play 15 games in its non-conference slate, including eight at its home of SEFCU Arena. The Great Danes are set to play five teams that played in a postseason last year, including three NCAA Tournament participants, and six New York-based foes.
In addition, UAlbany welcomes two teams coached by former Great Danes to the SEFCU Arena. James Jones, Class of 1986, is the head coach of Yale while Rob Senderoff, who graduated in 1995, serves at the helm of Kent State.
2017-18 UAlbany men's basketball season tickets are currently on sale through the UAlbany ticket office. This year’s home slate consists of 16 games, including eight non-conference and a challenging America East schedule. Mini plans will go sale starting Oct. 2nd. See all in-state rival games with the Empire 8 Pack or be part of the annual Big Purple Growl with the new Homecoming Pack. Single game tickets will be available to the public starting on Oct. 16th. “Scheduling is very important to the overall success of a program,” said UAlbany head coach Will Brown. “This year’s non-conference slate will challenge our team and help us prepare for conference play, and hopefully another opportunity to compete for an America East Conference Championship!”
