ALBANY, N.Y. - University at Albany head basketball coaches Will Brown and Colleen Mullen will be featured guests on Friday, October 26 for a panel discussion at the Times Union College Hoops Warmup.
Moderated by the Times Union’s sports editor Leif Skodnick, the panel will preview the upcoming college basketball season with insights from each of the four coaches on the panel. Joining the UAlbany head coaches will be Siena’s head coaches, Jamion Christian and Ali Jaques.
Tickets for the event, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Hearst Media Center in Albany, N.Y., are $15.
The UAlbany men’s basketball team, which will soon embark on its 18th season under Brown, is coming off a 22-10 overall season in which they went 10-6 in the America East en route to a berth into the America East quarterfinals.
The UAlbany women’s basketball team went 24-8 overall last year, placing second in the America East with a 12-4 in-conference record. The women earned their seventh-consecutive postseason bid, drawing the University of Pennsylvania in the first round of the WNIT. The upcoming season will be the program’s first under Mullen.

The 2018-19 home opener for both teams is November 14, when the women host Manhattan at 5:00 p.m. and the men face off against Boston University at 7:30 p.m.
The annual Meet & Greet with the men’s and women’s basketball programs will take place on October 21.
