Adam Rollman Joins Volleyball Staff
ALBANY, N.Y. — Head Coach Josh Pickard has announced the hiring of assistant coach Adam Rollman. Rollman will serve as the program’s defensive coordinator. Rollman’s duties will also include the oversight of camps and compliance, while assisting with other day-to-day duties of the program.
“I’m excited to get someone of Adam’s experience here on campus,” said Head Volleyball Coach Josh Pickard. “We have a great winning tradition here at UAlbany and I believe Adam’s skill set will help us continue that tradition. With recruiting in full swing it will be great to have Adam here. I know recruits will look forward to seeing him out at their tournaments very soon.”
Rollman has accumulated extensive coaching experience since graduation from Nebraska in 2012, most recently serving as an assistant coach at Missouri State for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. He worked primarily as the Bear’s recruiting coordinator and defensive specialist coach. Rollman also served a year as the attacking positions coach, helping Missouri State to its first undefeated conference record, 18-0, in conference history.
Prior to his time at Missouri State, Rollman spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Central Michigan State. He worked primarily with the Chippewas’ outside hitters and defensive specialists, helping the program to its highest conference win total in three years in 2015.
In 2014, Rollman spend the season as an assistant coach at Jacksonville University, aiding the Dolphins to the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance.
The Norfolk, Neb. native spent also served as a volunteer assistant at Creighton, Iowa and Nebraska Wesleyan.
Rollman was a four-year starter as an outside and opposite hitter for the men’s club team at Nebraska, serving as the club president his senior year and helping the team to a top-10 national finish in each of his four seasons.
