UAlbany Sports Information   03-08-2019

ALBANY, N.Y. — The University at Albany baseball team will travel to Farmville, Va., to play Longwood in a three-game series. The series begins Saturday, March 10, with a doubleheader and concludes on Sunday.

With a win this weekend, Head Coach Jon Mueller’s career win total will be 400.

UAlbany lost its series against  La Salle last weekend to go into Saturday’s match-up with a 2-4 record. UAlbany won its opening game against La Salle, 6-5, thanks in part to a clutch pitching performance from Joe Kruszka. But the Great Danes lost the second game, 9-0, and the series tiebreaker 13-6.

Longwood is 3-9 for the season but has won three of its four home games. Longwood is returning from a trip to Honolulu, where it was swept four games by Hawaii.
