ALBANY, N.Y. – Following a series win in the penultimate conference weekend of the regular season, the University at Albany baseball team (21-23, 8-12 AE) will host its final home game of 2017 on Tuesday when Sacred Heart comes to visit.
Last weekend, the Great Danes visited Hartford for three games. The series was shifted ahead by one day in an effort to avoid the impending inclement weather expected on Saturday. UAlbany split the doubleheader on Friday, losing the first game but rebounding to win the second. The series finale was moved from Sunday at noon to Saturday at 9:30 a.m., and UAlbany won once again to take the series two game to one.
Sacred Heart most recently played a four-game series against Bryant, splitting the games 2-2. In the second game of the series, the Pioneers came through with a one-run victory after 17 innings of play.
This weekend, the Great Danes will visit Maine for their final three games of the season. The America East tournament begins on Wednesday, May 24 in Lowell, Mass.
