Baseball Reschedules Around Winter Storm Stella

UAlbany Sports Information   03-14-2017

ALBANY, N.Y. – With Winter Storm Stella already altering the University at Albany baseball team’s schedule this week with the cancellation of the single game at Central Connecticut State on Wednesday, the team learned today that their late week games will also be affected.

The Great Danes were scheduled to participate in the three-day Fordham Tournament this weekend, during which time they would play Fordham on Friday, Hofstra on Saturday, and Sacred Heart on Sunday.  Because of the storm, the Fordham Tournament has been cancelled.

Facing the prospect of going more than a week without playing a game, UAlbany will instead make a third trip south, to play three games against Hofstra, one of their scheduled opponents from this weekend’s tournament.  The Danes will play a double header on Saturday, March 18 starting at 12:00 p.m., followed by a single game on Sunday, March 19 at 11:00 a.m.  All games will be played at Salem Memorial Ballpark in Salem, Va.
