UAlbany Sports Information   07-25-2019

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany men’s soccer program and head coach Trevor Gorman have announced the addition of Anthony Scaravillo as an assistant coach.  Scaravillo will join a team that is one year removed from winning back-to-back America East titles and advancing to two-straight NCAA Second Rounds.

“We are pleased to add Anthony to our coaching staff ahead of the 2019 season,” said Gorman.  “Anthony is an enthusiastic young coach and is passionate about the game. He will be an outstanding addition to our program.”

Scaravillo played four years at Le Moyne College, where he served as a team captain as a senior and made an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2015.  He stayed on following his graduation, joining the coaching staff first as a volunteer assistant before becoming a graduate assistant while earning his Master’s Degree in Education.  At the same time, he took up coaching duties fro the Syracuse Development Academy and the Arsenal Academy.

The UAlbany men’s soccer team has won the America East regular season or tournament title three times in the last four seasons, and has advanced to eight-straight America East Tournaments.  This year’s team will return 10 letter-winners from last season.
