ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany track & field and cross country program has announced its selections for the 2019 Wall of Fame Class. The Class of 2019 is the fourth group of inductees since the Wall’s creation, and consists of five men and five women.
“We have another tremendous group of inductees this year,” said Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Roberto Vives. “They were leaders, record holders, and part of numerous conference championship teams. They set the bar high, which has led to the success that are teams enjoy now. I am very proud of each of them and the legacy that they have left.”
The first Wall of Fame class was enshrined in 2012, the second in 2016, and the third in 2017. The enshrinement ceremony has traditionally taken place in tandem with the UAlbany XC Invitational in the fall but was moved this year to coincide with the Great Danes hosting the America East Outdoor Championships.
