BOSTON – For the third time this season, University at Albany junior Hannah Reinhardt has been named America East Women’s Performer of the Week, the conference offices announced Wednesday. She was named alongside men’s performer Dan Schaffer from Binghamton.
Reinhardt, a native of Clarence, N.Y., has now earned the conference’s weekly award in each of the three weeks the Great Danes have been active during this cross country season. In her first two meets, Reinhardt came away with individual victories, including a school record for 5K at the America East Pre-Conference meet on September 8.
This time, Reinhardt placed sixth overall in the Gold Division of Lehigh University’s Paul Short Run, the first time the women competed at the 6K distance this season. Reinhardt’s time of 20:39.7 was a personal-best, moving her into third place in program history behind Silvia Del Fava and Brittney Lane.
UAlbany next competes in the lone home meet of the season, the 52nd Annual R.K. Munsey UAlbany XC Invitational, on Friday, October 12.
