Martin, McIver to Compete in 2017 IWLCA Senior All-Star Game

SPARKS, Md. – UAlbany standouts Sarah Martin and Sierra McIver will play in the 2017 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Senior Division I All-Star Game on June 3rd.

Martin and McIver are two of 44 Division I players to be selected to play in the all-star game.  Both will suit up for the DI North Team.  Missy Doherty of Penn State will serve as head coach.

The game will be played at Tierney Field at the US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland just outside of Baltimore.  Opening draw will be on Saturday, June 3rd at 11:30 a.m. and will be streamed on IWLCA-tv.com.

Martin, a 2017 Tewaaraton nominee, had the highest scoring season in UAlbany history with 109 points off 63 goals and 46 assists, earning at least three points in every game this year.  The 2017 America East Midfielder of the Year also added 35 ground balls, 99 draw controls and 17 caused turnovers.

McIver, an America East All-Conference First Team defender, started all 18 games for UAlbany with 37 ground balls and 13 caused turnovers, serving as a team captain.  She also earned America East All-Tournament Team honors.
