UAlbany Football, Women's Lacrosse to Take Part in "Be The Match"

ALBANY, N.Y. – The UAlbany football and women’s lacrosse teams will take part in the “Be the Match” campaign to help add people to the bone narrow donor registry.

The football team will be working with “Be the Match” on Wednesday, April 19th from 12-3 p.m. on the podium on campus while the women’s lacrosse team will be in the Physical Education Building on Saturday, April 22nd from 12-4 p.m.

“Be the Match” is a non-profit organization operated the past 25 years by the National Marrow Donor Program to add to its registry, trying to find potential bone marrow transplant matches for patients fighting blood cancers.  The registry currently has 13.5 million members.

All are encouraged to come out to one of the two events and add your name to the registry.
