UAlbany Sports Information   07-06-2018

LANCASTER, Pa. – With the announcements of the 2018-19 USA Field Hockey National Teams, four current/former Great Danes will compete among some of the top players in the country.

Two former Great Danes, Kelsey Briddell ’18 and Kelly Bonner-Marks ’15 have been named to the 2018-19 U.S. Women’s National Developmental Squad, a team that nurtures the talent of those looking to join the senior national team.

Liz Ryan ’21 has earned a trial in Pennsylvania after the 2018 season in December to try out for the U21 Women’s National Team.

Incoming freshman Kelsey McCrudden will compete for the U19 Junior National Camp.

Previously, these four were among the Great Danes to compete in the USA Field Hockey Performance Tournament in June at Spooky Nook Sports in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.  The tryouts were used to help select the 2018-19 U.S. National Teams.
