ALBANY, N.Y. – Two UAlbany men’s lacrosse players have been selected for America East weekly honors, the conference announced on Monday.

TD Ierlan was honored as the America East Defensive Player of the Week while Sean Eccles has been selected as an America East Co-Offensive Player of the Week.

UAlbany has been chosen for seven conference weekly honors the past three weeks.  Ierlan and Eccles each earn their first of the season.

The duo helped UAlbany earn a comeback victory over Cornell 11-9 to improve to 3-0 on the season.

Ierlan came up one shy of an NCAA Division I record for a perfect faceoff day, going 24-for-24 at center circle with a program record 22 ground balls.  He earned his first perfect faceoff day as a Great Dane.

Eccles spearheaded the offensive comeback with the game-tying goals late in the fourth quarter, then the game-winning assist to Justin Reh.  He finished with two goals and three assists for five points.

UAlbany’s next opponent is UMass in Amherst on Tuesday, March 6th at 3 p.m.
