Blaze Riorden Named PLL Goalie of the Year
LOS ANGELES — Former University at Albany men’s lacrosse goalkeeper Blaze Riorden has been named the Premier Lacrosse League’s Goalie of the Year, the league announced Thursday, Sept. 19.
Riorden, a 2016 UAlbany graduate and native of Fairport, N.Y., led the PLL with a 55.8 save percentage. Playing for the Chaos team, he stopped 13 shots when the PLL made its stop at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium on Aug. 24-25.
Riorden totaled 153 saves for the season and finished with a goals-against average of 12.4, helping the Chaos to a 7-3 regular-season mark.
