Connor Fields Earns America East Offensive Player of the Week
ALBANY, N.Y. – Leading the UAlbany men’s lacrosse team to a pair of road victories in five days, Connor Fields has been honored as the America East Offensive Player of the Week.
This is Fields’s second weekly conference honor of the season and 16th of his career, including being named the league’s offensive player of the week for the 10th time. As a team, UAlbany has eight America East weekly honors this season, including four offensive player of the week awards.
The senior attack helped UAlbany win road games over UMass and Maryland during the week. He had key roles in both victories.
He started the week with a career-high 12 points off five goals and seven assists at UMass. He followed with four goals and two assists in the win at #2 Maryland, including the game-winning goal with 1:16 left to play.
On the season, Fields leads UAlbany in all three major offensive categories with 36 points off 16 goals and 20 assists. He leads all of Division I with 7.2 points per game.
