UAlbany Lacrosse Alum Eric Cantor Named to Team Israel for 2018 World Games

NETANYA, ISRAEL – UAlbany men’s lacrosse alum Eric Cantor will suit up for Team Israel for the 2018 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Games this July.

Cantor graduated from UAlbany in 2015, serving as an LSM.  He played 59 games for the Great Danes from 2012-15, finishing with 85 ground balls, 25 caused turnovers, six goals and five assists in his career, earning 2015 America East All-Conference First Team honors.

Cantor was named to the tryout pool during the summer and will play for Team Israel in the World Games for the first time.

In addition, Eric Wolf, former player and assistant coach under Scott Marr, returns in his role as an assistant coach for Team Israel.  The full roster for the games was announced on November 21st.

Israel is serving as host for the FIL Championships from July 12-21, 2018.  More than 50 nations are set to compete in the 2018 championships.

In the 2014 World Games in Denver, team Israel finished in seventh place.
