Women's Golf Tees Off 2017 Fall Season at Rutgers
ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany women’s golf team opens its Fall 2017 campaign Sept. 9-10, competing in the Rutgers Women’s Golf Invitational. The 54-hole tournament will begin with 36 holes on Saturday and a final round of 18 on Sunday at Rutgers University Golf Course.
UAlbany will take on a field of 11 teams, including Rutgers, Delaware, Fairleigh Dickinson, Georgetown, Hofstra, Long Island University, Sacred Heart, Siena, St. John’s, and Wagner College.
Tee times are between 7:45 and 9:40 a.m. on both days. Results will be posted here at the conclusion of each round.
The Great Danes return all six players from last year, including two top-ten MAAC Championship finishers, Helga Einarsdottir and Megan Henry. Also returning is senior leader Annie Songeun-Lee who was the 2015 MAAC individual champion.
The Rutgers Invitational marks the first of five tournaments that UAlbany is slated to compete in this fall.
