Comments From Coach Colleen Cashman-McSween:
“Competing in our second NCAA Regional tournament this week was certainly special! While we didn’t produce the scores we know that we can, we will take this as a learning experience and only build on it for the future. We are a very young team with only 1 senior and 4 sophomores. Competing at the highest level against some of the best collegiate golfers on new golf courses under pressure situations is certainly something that takes experience. And this week I believe each player learned a lot about themselves and what it takes to reach the next level. What we cannot forget is the great season we had and the many team and individual accomplishments that we have achieved. I’m very proud of Annie for an amazing career and I’m thankful for everything she did for this program to help take us to the next level. She has been a leader on the golf course and in the classroom and has matured so much personally there is no doubt in my head that she is ready for the real world after college. Every season we set out on a mission from day 1 to compete and win a MAAC championship. And we did just that this season. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this truly is a special group of players who love competing, love each other and simply love the game of golf! I’m very excited for the future of this program and looking forward to beginningthe journey once again next Fall!”
