Albany, N.Y. - The University at Albany cross country programs were named a 2011 United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team on Wednesday, February 15th.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team, the squad must have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

A total of 147 men's schools from 30 conferences and 205 women's schools from 30 conferences earned All-Academic status. The men's squad placed 18th at the NCAA Northeast Regional, while the women's harriers placed 18th as well. Three other America East Conference schools joined UAlbany as all-academic honorees.
