UPDATE: Baseball’s Season-Opening Weekend Cancelled Due To Weather

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The season opener for the University at Albany baseball team has been delayed due to inclement weather affecting the nation’s Southeast region.

The Great Danes were originally scheduled to open the 2014 slate at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, N.C. against Canisius on Friday, and face Saint Joseph’s, Butler, and Monmouth on Saturday and Sunday. However, the trip to Cary has been cancelled.

UAlbany will now kickoff the 2014 season in Honolulu, Hawaii next Thursday, playing a four-game series against the Rainbow Warriors Feb. 20-23.
