COMMENTS FROM THE COACHING STAFF
"Tough conference game today. We were fortunate to get out of there with a win. Our saving grace was our goalie Melissa Nealon. She held down the fort well. We got going late in the game and created some good opportunities. Ghislaine had an inspired moment late, as she dribbled around three players and shot a great backhand into the roof of the goal for the game winner," said head coach Phil Sykes.
"I was proud of our team today, how they competed even though we weren't at our best. Dana Bozek had a strong game at center midfield and distributed well throughout the game. She created some good attack late as well. This was a big conference win for us today and it will hopefully create some good momentum going forward," said Sykes.
The Great Danes will return home and prepare for the Fairfield Stags. Both teams will be found on Alumni Turf at 1:00 PM on Sunday, October 8th.
