Albany, N.Y. — The No. 23 UAlbany field hockey team looks to stay perfect at home when they host America East foe Vermont on Friday afternoon in the squad’s lone game of the week. The tilt is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.

Last Time Out

The Great Danes improved to 6-0 at home  following a pair of wins this past weekend. UAlbany defeated UMass Lowell 4-3 on Friday to earn the series win before pushing past New Hampshire 2-1 in an overtime thriller. Ghislaine Beerkens finished the weekend with six points off two goals.

Head Coach Phil Sykes eclipsed the 200-win mark with a 2-1 overtime win against New Hampshire. Sykes, the programs leader in wins, owns a 200-98 record in his 15th year at the helm. Associate head coach Andy Thornton also celebrated the milestone as he has stood beside Sykes for all 200 victories. The duo has celebrated five America East Tournament Championships and a trip to the Final Four in 2014.

  • Sophomore Carli Pelletier posted the game-winning goal at UMass Lowell (9/21) for her first goal as a Great Dane.
  • Freshman Kelsey McCrudden tallied her first collegiate point with an assist at Sacred Heart (9/8).
  • Freshman Elaina Burchell notched her first collegiate points tallying one goal and one assist in a win at Sacred Heart (9/8).
  • Junior Dana Bozek notched her first career hat trick against Colgate on Sept. 1.
