Great Danes Look to Stay Hot, Welcome FDU-Florham to SEFCU
ALBANY, N.Y. – Coming off back-to-back wins, the University at Albany women’s basketball team (3-5) welcomes FDU-Florham (2-5) to SEFCU Arena, Wednesday, Dec. 4 for UAlbany’s annual Holiday Hoopla. Tip-off is slated for 5 p.m. and will broadcast on ESPN+.
Lay Up Lines
The Great Danes are coming off back-to-back wins in which they averaged 71.5 points per game.
FDU-Florham recently snapped a five-game skid with a 66-65 victory against William Paterson last Saturday.
UAlbany owns a 1-3 clip at home this season while the Devils are winless on the road thus far (0-2).
Did You Know…
UAlbany Head Coach Colleen Mullen and FDU-Florham Head Coach Melissa Brooks spent two years together on the staff at Army West Point where Mullen served as the Black Knights associate head coach from 2012-2017. Brooks served as an assistant coach from 2015-2017.
Wednesday marks the first meeting between the two squads in the sport of women’s basketball.

Last Time Out
The Great Danes kicked off December with a 73-63 win at Central Connecticut State on Sunday.
Alexi Schecter led the team with 23 points and seven rebounds. Schecter has now eclipsed the 20-point mark twice this season.
Leading The Pack
Alexi Schecter ranks fifth in the America East in scoring (16.0) and leads the conference in field goal percentage (.551). She has scored in double-figures in six of UAlbany’s first eight games.
The Devils are producing two double-figure scorers in Jennah Roman (14.4) and Jayda Bing (13.4).
Bing is bringing down a team-best 7.3 rebounds per game while Roman leads all players with 15 assists.
As a team, FDU-Florham is giving up an average of 69.0 points per game.

The Great Danes are 3-0 this season when scoring 70 or more points. UAlbany has scored 70-plus points in all three of its wins this season.
UAlbany is 3-0 this season when scoring 30 or more points in the paint. The Great Danes have scored a season-high 38 points on two occasions, Columbia and CCSU, both resulting in victories.
Senior Alexi Schecter established a new career high with 31 points against Columbia (Nov. 5). The Lowell, Mass. native shot 13-15 from the floor and 5-7 from the free throw line. She is the first Great Dane to record a 30- point game since Jessica Féquière scored 35 points against Maine during the 2017-18 season.
