ALBANY, N.Y. – For the third time this season, Hannah Reinhardt has been named America East Women’s Cross Country Performer of the Week, the conference offices announced Wednesday. She was named alongside Stony Brook’s Cameron Avery.
Reinhardt, a senior from Clarence, N.Y., placed third overall our of 425 racers in the women’s 6K Gold race at the 2019 Paul Short Run at Lehigh University. Reinhardt’s finishing time of 19:44.2, the first women’s result to break 20 minutes in program history, was a personal-best by 55 seconds, and also broke Silva Del Fava’s 6K school record of 20:20.1 set in 2014.
Reinhardt has now won seven cross country Performer of the Week awards in her career, moving into a tie for most in women’s conference history, dating back to the 2007 season, with New Hampshire’s Elinor Purrier and Maine’s Corey Conner. Additionally, Reinhardt’s seven awards have come consecutively, winning each time she has raced and the award has been given, since her first at the start of the 2018 season.
UAlbany stays at home for a month to host the R.K. Munsey UAlbany XC Invitational on October 18 and the America East XC Championships on November 2.
