UAlbany Sports Information   01-17-2018

ALBANY, N.Y. – UAlbany women’s soccer head coach Nick Bochette has announced that Brian Gordon will serve as an assistant coach for the 2018 season.

Gordon had served as a volunteer assistant coach for the Great Danes in 2017.

“I am incredibly excited to join the UAlbany women’s soccer staff on a permanent basis,” said Gordon.  I’m very grateful for the opportunity to work further with Nick, Claire and the team, and I can’t wait to get back on the field with a program that is built for success in the America East this coming fall.”

“We’re very pleased to have Brian continue to work with our program on a more permanent basis,” said Bochette.  “His work ethic, experience and savvy for the game have been a great resource for our student-athletes, and his work will certainly continue to pay dividends for our program.”

Gordon was previously the head coach at Hartwick, going 27-19-6 overall with an appearance in the Empire 8 Tournament in 2016, the program’s first since 2002.  He was an assistant at Hartwick for two years.

Gordon joins the coaching staff of Bochette, assistant coach Claire Scanlan and director of operations Mark Van Leuven.
