UAlbany Alum Dwayne Stewart to Play for Team Jamaica

HARROGATE, Tenn. – Former UAlbany men’s lacrosse player Dwayne Stewart will suit up for the Jamaican National Team in the 2018 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Games this July.

Stewart graduated from UAlbany in 2013, playing in the midfield.  An America East All-Rookie Team member in 2010, Stewart played in 59 games in four seasons, finishing with 16 goals and eight assists.

Stewart was named to Team Jamaica last week.  This will be Jamaica’s first-ever appearance in the FIL World Games.

The 2018 FIL Men’s World Championship will be held in Netanya, Israel from July 12-21.  More than 50 nations are set to compete in the 2018 championships.

Stewart currently serves as an assistant coach at Lincoln Memorial University in Tennessee.
