The women’s 6K kicked off proceedings for the day.  It was the second 6K the women have run this season, previously doing so at Lehigh’s Paul Short Run.  Hannah Reinhardt led the women’s team, placing 24th overall in 22:27.3.  Cara Sherman placed 109th in 23:32.0.  Águeda Muñoz Marqués placed 137th in 23:44.6.  Rounding out the top five was Holly Machabee, placing 174th in 24:24.4, and Colleen Maloney, placing 178th in 24:28.5.  Also competing for the women was Nira Lovick, who placed 188th in 24:38.6, and MacKenzie Pierie, who placed 225th in 25:37.1.

The men’s 10K followed the women’s race.  Despite the fact that Friday was the first 10K of the season, the UAlbany seven-member championship roster featured five runners with 10K experience.  Kyle Gronostaj paced the men’s team, placing 20th overall in 32:31.0.  Ryan Udvadia placed 26th in 32:40.9.  Tyler Ranke placed 113th in 34:20.2.  Rounding out the top five was Jonathan Gay, who placed 115th in 34:21.7, and Victor Ortiz Rivera, who placed 168th in 35:06.1.  Also competing for the men was Jake Johnson, who placed 173rd in 35:11.5, and Christopher Perillo, who placed 190th in 35:45.4.
