ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany’s 2018 football schedule includes a season-opening game at Pittsburgh, six home contests at Tom & Mary Casey Stadium and a challenging Colonial Athletic Association slate.
The schedule, announced by the CAA on Wednesday, begins Sept. 1, 2018, at Pittsburgh, a Football Bowl Subdivision school that competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The game will be played at Heinz Field, which also is home to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Great Danes play their first league contest a week later, at Rhode Island, before the home-opener Sept. 15 against Morgan State.
UAlbany also plays a home non-conference game Sept. 22 against St. Francis.
The Great Danes’ other league opponents are: at William & Mary (Oct. 6), Richmond (Oct. 13), Towson (Oct. 20), at Maine (Oct. 27), Delaware (Nov. 3) and at New Hampshire (Nov. 10) before the season concludes at home Nov. 17 against in-state rival Stony Brook.
All game times will be announced at a later date.
Tickets remain on sale for the final home game of 2017, against New Hampshire on Nov. 18 on Military Appreciation Day.
