UAlbany Sports Information   10-16-2017

NEW ORLEANS - The Week #5 Regional Rankings were released Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The University at Albany men’s team improved one spot to 12 after spending the last four weeks at 13.

Syracuse remained unchanged at the top of the poll. Iona jumped one spot to second, switching places with Columbia, which fell one spot to third. Army jumped one spot to fourth, and Boston University improved the most this week, jumping nine spots to break into the top five. UMass Lowell at seven and Stony Brook at nine were the only other America East schools in the poll.

The men’s team last won their second consecutive team title at the UAlbany XC Invitational, behind senior Ryan Udvadia’s second consecutive course-record-breaking individual title. In two weeks, the team will return to Vermont where the season started to compete in the America East XC Championships.
