Vermont got off seven shots in the first half to UAlbany’s two, but neither team was able to find the back of the net.  UAlbany drew two corner kicks through the first 45 minutes to Vermont’s zero.

The game remained scoreless until the 83rd minute when redshirt-senior Kaz Boschen one-touched a loose ball in the Vermont box into the back of the net.  Boschen’s second goal of the season put UAlbany ahead for good, 1-0.

Vermont outshot UAlbany 7-5 in the second half and 14-7 for the entire game.  However, UAlbany was able to put five of its shots on goal compared to Vermont’s eight.  UAlbany goalkeeper Danny Vitiello recorded a season-high eight saves, including five in the second half, to earn his fourth shutout of the season.
