Field Hockey Stays at #21 in NFHCA Coaches Poll

ALBANY, N.Y.- The Great Dane Field Hockey team lands at #21 in the NFHCA coaches poll for the second straight week.

Last weekend UAlbany faced two nationally ranked teams, #16 Boston University and #5 Syracuse. This week both teams moved in the rankings. Boston University fell to #20 and Syracuse rose to #3. The Great Danes went 1-1 on the weekend with a notable 3-1 win over Boston University. Freshman Katie MacCallum laid down the first goal of the game assisted by Frederike Helmke. Helmke then took over scoring two goals off of two assists by Dana Bozek. Against Syracuse, the Danes fell 0-2 from goals scored off penalty corners. 

Up next, the Great Danes will open up conference play against New Hampshire on Saturday, September 16th at 1 P.M. on Alumni Turf.
