McClancy, Osika Selected as USILA DI Scholar All-Americans
PERRY, N.Y. – UAlbany men's lacrosse players Kyle McClancy and Adam Osika have been honored as United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division I Scholar All-Americans, the committee announced on Wednesday night.
“On behalf of the USILA Scholar All-America committee, I would like to congratulate these outstanding young men on this prestigious honor,” said Kevin Cassese, chair of the USILA Scholar All-America Committee. “Scholar All-Americans are exemplary on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. They have been and will continue to be tremendous representatives of our sport.”
To qualify, nominated parties must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and had to be an All-American, in the North-South Game or an outstanding conference player.
Each Osika and McClancy were chosen as USILA Honorable Mention All-Americans back in May at SSDM and midfielder respectively.
McClancy, a 2017 America East All-Conference First Team midfielder, earned 10 multi-point games this season and completed the year with 29 goals, 13 assists, 27 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers. McClancy enters his senior year with a 3.94 GPA in business.
Osika, the 2017 America East All-Conference First Team SSDM, played on the first midfield and on the wing, the senior ended 2017 with 22 goals, 10 assists and 15 ground balls, including 11 multi-point contests. Osika graduated in May with a 3.08 GPA in economics.
