UAlbany Athletics Invites All to 2017 Spring Stomp on April 22nd

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University at Albany is set to host the annual Spring Stomp on Saturday, April 22nd, inviting all to a fun-filled day of athletic contests on campus.

2017 Spring Stomp Lineup
10 a.m. – Track & Field Spring Classic, Field Events
12 p.m. – Track & Field Spring Classic, Track Events – UAlbany Track & Field Stadium
3 p.m. – Football Spring Game – Tom & Mary Casey Stadium
4:45 p.m. – GDAC Town Hall Meeting – Casey Stadium South Box Office
5 p.m. – Great Dane Tailgate – SEFCU Lot, partnership with 104.5 FM and DeCresente Distributing
7 p.m. – #5/5 UAlbany Men’s Lacrosse vs. #12/11 Yale – Tom & Mary Casey Stadium
9 p.m. – Fireworks, presented by Student Affairs

Parking Information
Parking for Saturday is $10 for the SEFCU lot and $5 for the South Dutch lot.  An Athletics Parking Advisory has been issued, and due to expected high turnout on the day, fans are encouraged to arrive early.

Ticket Information
Admission to the football spring game and the track & field event is free to the public.  For the men’s lacrosse game, tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for kids in bleacher seating areas. Gold Level chairback seating is available for $15.

Event Information
Track & Field Spring Classic, 10 a.m. – The 12-time defending America East champion UAlbany men’s outdoor track & field team and five-time defending America East champion UAlbany women’s outdoor track & field team have their annual Spring Classic on campus.  Field events begin at 10 a.m. with track events starting at noon.  Student-athletes from XX different schools will be competing throughout the day.

Spring Football Game, 3 p.m. – Fresh off their best season in CAA play, the football team will conclude the spring season with the annual spring game.  The Great Danes won seven games last season including the program’s first win over an FBS team with a victory at Buffalo.  UAlbany football season tickets are now on sale for the 2017 season.  Prices start as low as $75.  For more information, visit or call the UAlbany ticket office directly at 518-442-DANE.

GDAC Town Hall Meeting, 4:45 p.m. - The 3rd and final GDAC Town hall meeting will take place under the tent near Casey Stadium South Box Office. These meetings are open to season tickets holders, donors, fans and the general public to discuss the Great Dane Athletic Club, scholarship seating, benefits, parking, and 2017-18 Football and Men’s Basketball season tickets. 

Great Dane Tailgate Challenge, 5 p.m. – Following the football game, the inaugural Great Dane Tailgate Challenge will take place in the SEFCU lot.  Fans will compete for prizes, with UAlbany football head coach Greg Gattuso and 104.5 the Team’s Levack and Goz judging the winners.

UAlbany Men’s Lacrosse vs. Yale, 7 p.m. – A big matchup at Casey Stadium as two men’s lacrosse powerhouses meet with UAlbany playing Yale.  The last two years, both teams played in top-10 battles, with UAlbany winning each by one goal.  UAlbany is ranked #5 in each poll nationally while Yale is at #12 and #11 in the coaches and media polls.

Fireworks, 9 p.m. – Immediately following the men’s lacrosse game, fans will be treated to a fireworks show at Casey Stadium.
