ALBANY, N.Y. – UAlbany women’s lacrosse’s Jessica Davos has been promoted to the team’s associate head coach, announced by the team today.

Davos is in her seventh season with UAlbany, serving as the first assistant under head coach John Battaglino since her hiring.  She is the team’s first associate head coach since Battaglino served in the same capacity in 2009.

“I would like to thank John Battaglino and the Great Dane administration for this opportunity,” said Davos. “I am proud to have been a part of this program for the past seven seasons, and look forward to growing our legacy for years to come.”

“She has been a valued member of our coaching staff for the past seven years,” said Battaglino.  “She brings a strong level of professionalism and integrity to this program.”

Davos serves primarily with the defense, which has been in the top-five in scoring defense in Division I the past four seasons.  Davos has helped UAlbany earn double digit win seasons the last six years plus a pair of America East Tournament titles.
