Albany, N.Y.- Mike Black with a career-high nine rebounds along with 17 points leads UAlbany over New Hampshire, 86-63, on Wednesday, Jan. 11 at SEFCU Arena. The Great Danes remain unbeaten at home with a 7-0 record on the season. With the win, UAlbany improve to 11-7 overall and 3-1 in conference while New Hampshire falls to 5-9, 0-3 in the conference play.
     Black finished one rebound shy of his first career double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Logan Aronhalt and Gerardo Suero finished in double-digits for the Great Danes with 21 and 17, respectively. UAlbany had 10 different players contribute at least one point in the contest.
     New Hampshire had three players in double-digits with Patrick Konan leading the charge with 13 points and eight rebounds. Brian Benson and Alvin Abreu followed with 12 and 11, respectively.
     UAlbany led New Hampshire in shooting percentage, 49.2-36.4, rebounds, 47-29, and in assists, 19-10. The Great Danes overwhelmed the Wildcats in second chance points as well, 28-6.
     The Great Danes truly showed off their defensive play as they began the first half going up 19-5 with 10:34 left to play. Five different UAlbany players factored in the run as unselfish play was shown in the game overall with 19 assists. The Great Dane defense was able to keep to the Wildcats to 20 points in the first half, which was its lowest total in a half this season.

     The second half was the same story for UAlbany as its lead grew as high as 32, 59-27, with 14:28 left in the game.
New Hampshire looked to make the game close, as UAlbany wouldn't make a bucket for the next four minutes, as UNH would go on a 12-0 run to cut the deficit, 59-39. Jordon Bronner contributed five of six total points during the run.
     But UAlbany would finish the game strong by ending the game with a 23-point lead, 86-63. The Great Danes were never down in the contest as their smallest lead was three, 7-4, with 16:22 left in the first half.
     The Great Danes cap off their two-game home stand against Maine on Saturday, Jan. 14 at SEFCU Arena at 7 pm. Stony Brook and UAlbany are the only two teams left in the America East undefeated at home this season.
