Colin Cooper has served as the assistant equipment manager since September 2017, being a Certified Equipment Manager through the Athletic Equipment Manager's Association.
He helps coordinate equipment for men's and women's soccer, women's lacrosse, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's track & field and volleyball. He also assists on football day-to-day equipment operations and the set up breakdown for headsets for coaches, plus manages student assistants.
Cooper previously was the assistant equipment manager at American University, including being its interim head equipment manager for two-and-a-half months. He helped transition the department and its teams from Nike to UnderArmour and managed 13 student assistants.
He also was a preseason equipment management intern for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the summer of 2016, working directly with the linebackers and the defense. He helped with setup and breakdown of the practice field, inventory control and the football equipment.
He graduated from UAlbany in 2016, playing three years on the football team at linebacker after transferring from Monmouth. While at UAlbany, he served as as a student assistant equipment manager.
