Kevin Tarpey joins the UAlbany athletic training staff as a graduate assistant starting in the 2016-17 season. He works primarily with the UAlbany volleyball and baseball teams.
He worked as a undergraduate assistant while at SUNY Cortland, working with the men's lacrosse, men's soccer, field hockey and wrestling teams. He also assisted the men's soccer team of LeMoyne College.
In May 2016, he was a research intern with the Geneva Foundation for the NCAA/West Point Concussion Studies. He administered baseline ImPACT and BESS/SAC tests plus Baseline questionnaires/consent forms to over 4,000 cadets at the United States Military Academy.
Tarpey is a member of NATA and is up to date on First Aid and CPR/AED certification. He played club soccer at SUNY Cortland.
Tarpey graduated from SUNY Cortland in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training. He is working on his Master's Degree in educational and administration policy studies.
