Position: Deputy Athletic Director
Jerry Koloskie has served as the UAlbany Deputy Director of Athletics since January 2015 and is responsible for the day-to-day operations for its' 18 NCAA intercollegiate athletic  teams and an overall operating budget of 19 million dollars.

Koloskie's primary responsibilities include planning and assisting with developing an annual budget; serves as the sport administrator for football, men’s basketball and volleyball;  serve as the primary administrator for the athletic training and strength and conditioning departments.  In addition, other duties include annual review of athletic department policies and procedures; Student-Athlete Handbook; the Department's Annual Report; assist with coaches contracts and other human resource processes; assist with marketing, promotions and fundraising activities and assists with the administration of conference championships.  

He serves on the UAlbany Behavioral Risk Team Committee (BRISK), the Intercollegiate Athletic Advisory Board (IAAC) and the Internal Steering Committee.  Koloskie is also on the America East Conference Championships Committee (CCC) and serves as the liaison to the America East men's lacrrosse coaches.

Previous to UAlbany, Koloskie spent 32 years at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), as a senior level administrator and athletic trainer.  At UNLV Koloskie served as the Deputy Director of Athletics for over four years, a senior associate athletic director from 1998 to 2014 and the school's interim/acting director of athletics in 2009.  Certified as an athletic trainer in 1980, from 1982 through 1997,  Koloskie was the Head Athletic Trainer/Director of Athletic Training before moving into administration in 1997 as the Assistant Athletic Director and Sports Medicine and Operations.  During his time in the athletic training field, Koloskie was the athletic trainer for final four men's basketball teams in 1987-1991 and was the athletic trainer for the 1990 men's basketball National Championship Team.  Koloskie created and served as the first president of the Nevada State Athletic Trainer's Association, was a member of the Far West Athletic Trainer's Association (FWATA) Managing Board, served as the Public Relations Chair for FWATA and also served as the National Athletic Trainer's Association Public Relations Chair from 1998-2001.   Koloskie was honored by FWATA in 1998 with the Distinguished Athletic Trainer's Award.  

Koloskie graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, minoring in athletic training and special education.  He earned his Master's Degree in physical education, with an emphasis in athletic administration, from Iowa State University.  Prior to being accepted into the West Virginia University athletic training curriculum, Koloskie began his college career as a baseball student-athlete at Marietta College in Ohio.

Originally from Monongah, WV, Koloskie is married to the former Annette Cunningham and they have three children.  John (30) and Megan (24) who reside in Denver, Co and James (29), who lives in Las Vegas NV and they have one grand-daughter Kaydence.
