Anthony Benyarko has been with the UAlbany training room since 2006 and serves as a assistant athletic trainer. He primarily works with the UAlbany men's lacrosse and men's soccer teams.
He holds several certifications, including CPR/AED from the American Heart Association, Professional Rescuer from the American Red Cross, NASE Certified Speed Specialist Level II, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Kineso Tape Practitioner.
He is a licensed athletic trainer in the state of New York and is a member of several orgainzations, including the National Athletic Training Association, the National Academy of Sports Medicine, the National Association of Speed and Explosion and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated. He is also a tenured faculty/staff member at UAlbany.
Before UAlbany, Benyarko was a summer intern for the New York Giants in 2006 and a student worker with Boston College from 2005 to 2006. He was the 2005-2006 NFL/Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society Minority Scholarship Recipient.
He graduated from Boston University with a bachelor of science in athletic training in 2006 and holds a Master's Degree of Science in rehabilitative science from California (Pa.) University in 2015.
