Wersted has been with the UAlbany training room since 1999, being full-time since 2001. She primarily works with the women's lacrosse and women's soccer teams.
She is a NATA certified athletic trainer from the American Red Cross and certified in New York State in CPR/First Aid/AED.
She graduated Cum Laude with a bachelor's of science at SUNY Brockport in 1998, earning her Master's Degree from Indiana State University in 1999. She lives with her husband, Ken, and her children, Ryan and Samantha.
